About Me

With more than 10 years of clinical experience, I have had the opportunity to work therapeutically with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. I have worked with a wide variety of people facing a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, family-of-origin issues, life transitions, anger management, work and school stressors, grief and loss, as well as family, marriage, and relationship difficulties.

I earned my Master's of Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Additionally, I have received advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, child-centered play therapy, family systems, and clinical applications of mind/body approaches. I have also been trained extensively in Emotionally Focused Therapy and am involved in training other clinicians in this model through the Carolina Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy.

I use a collaborative therapeutic approach to help clients identify aspects of their lives they wish to change and gain new understandings that allow them to create more fulfilling lives and relationships. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
